Playskool began in 1928. By the 1940's Playskool had been bought and sold several times. In the 1940's two men from Chicago Manuel Fink and Robert Meythaler had purchased the company. Playskool did very well under their leadership and soon became a household name.
By the late 1960's the two men were ready to retire and sold the company to Milton Bradley.
In 1984 both Milton Bradley and Playskool were sold to Hasbro.
Playskool is currently owned by Hasbro.
